Flow is in sheet, stream, and shelf modes; it is all shallow but there are different stress balances for inland flow and for ice shelves and streams. The flow is fully thermocoupled. PISM computes the age of the ice, earth deformation, stored till water under the ice, and other quantities. Verification tests for many subsystems, including large coupled subsystems, are built in.
